Dentures and Partials

Dentures are a boon to individuals who have lost multiple teeth and wish to get them all replaced in one go. Dentures are prostheses made from dental-grade ceramic and gum-colored acrylic, which mimic the appearance of the teeth and gums, respectively. Here's a more informative read that will help you understand them better.

How are Dentures Fabricated?

Since the contour of our jaws and teeth vary from individual to individual, dentures have to be custom-fabricated according to the requirement of each patient. For this, we will take precise digital scans and x-rays of the teeth and the jaw ridges, which will be used to create a digital impression needed to fabricate the dentures. It will be sent to a dental laboratory, where the dentures will be made within a few days. Once they are fabricated, we will place them in your mouth and check for a suitable fit. If any changes in contour are required, we will make them and provide perfectly fitting dentures for use.

What are the Advantages of Dentures?

  • Dentures are a one-stop solution for replacing multiple missing teeth at once
  • They restore oral functionality by enabling you to bite and chew food, pronounce words perfectly, etc.
  • They restore the ideal contour of the jaws, cheeks, and chin as they make them appear fuller.
  • Dentures are customized to mimic the contour, size, and overall appearance of the natural teeth perfectly.
  • They are removable prostheses, which allow the user to put them on and remove them as and when required, such as when you have to clean your mouth, clean the dentures, go to bed, etc.
  • Restoring damaged or worn-out dentures is very easy through rebasing and relining.

What are Partials?

Partial dentures are used to replace only a selected set of missing teeth. They are made from dental-grade ceramic and acrylic, just like conventional dentures. However, they are backed by a metal framework that provides the necessary strength and stability to the dentures. When you put them on, the prosthetic teeth sit perfectly beside the existing natural teeth, thereby allowing you to sport a complete smile. You can take partial dentures off whenever required and put them back on with ease.
