The brushing technique is crucial, and the brush should be held at an angle of 45 degrees to the gum. Gently brush every surface of your teeth and also focus on the gum line and underneath the gum.

  • Floss

If you are avoiding flossing, then you are not following proper dental hygiene. It can be a relaxing and meditative experience. Just dedicate a couple of minutes to flossing after your nighttime brushing. 

  • Watch What You Drink and Eat

It is a fact that what you put in your mouth has a lot to do with oral hygiene and health. You should eat a nutritious and wholesome diet and abstain from acidic, sugary foods. Beverages like tea, coffee, and juices can stain your teeth, so drink in moderation.

Smoking and excessive alcohol consumption will create havoc with your oral health. These harmful habits are linked to oral cancer and a whole range of oral health problems. 

  • Visit Your Dentist Regularly

The primary cause of gum infection and tooth decay is plaque, and only professional cleaning can extract all the plaque from your teeth. A fluoride treatment will turn your mouth into an antibacterial zone. Dental visits twice a year will help prevent oral problems and save you on costs in the longer run.
